This cloth has 12K Tow carbon running the WARP direction(length of roll) and 3K Tow carbon running the FILL direction(width from side to side). Would be ideal for applications needing more strength in the WARP(length direction) or for tube/pipe wrapping applications.

Unique lightweight 12K tow cloth with very distinct plain weave pattern. Each tow is a 12K thread spread flat and is approximately 1/4" to 3/8" wide but only .012" thick. Cloth is very soft and seems to drape reasonably well but probably not as conformable as 3K type cloths. You can easily pull tows from cloth to open up the weave if required.

This fabric uses 6K - IM7 Fibers, which is the bundle/strand/tow size equivalent to normal 3K fibers. The smaller hairs in the 6K - IM7 fiber are considered stronger than a typical 3K fiber. We received a good supply of this fabric at a reduced price. It is great for any type of structural application requiring a carbon fiber buildup.
The fabric has a fiberglass strand tracer about every 6 to 12 inches.

Medium duty carbon for fast buildup and superior strength. Very Dense 3K style weave gives keeps resin weights low but require attention for proper resin saturation.
